What Is Respite Care?

Respite care is often referred to as relief care. Essentially this is when a caregiver will come in for full-time assistance for a length of time. The caregiver will be coming in temporarily to help out the family caretaker by taking their place, even though the family still has autonomy over any decision on their loved one.

Respite care is here to be a shoulder to lean on while you’re full-time caretaking. We know that caretaking can be very hard and demanding, reason why we are here to help. Here at Global One Home Care, we want to help out in any way possible.

Our Respite Caregivers

Respite caregivers are usually hired for a temporary time to relieve the family caretaker. Our team is diverse and well-trained and experienced to take care of the client with various conditions.

Our respite caregivers are here to assist in any way that they can. There’s a lot that they can do starting from basic home services, to helping in decision -making. Here are some of our caregivers’ responsibilities during their visit:

• Assist with showering
• Make meals
• Talk and conversate
• Play games
• Run errands
• Medication reminders
• Housekeeping
